Membership Services Conference is back again for 2023! This is the conference for staff working in clubs and societies, advice, student reps, democracy, governance, campaigning – anything within membership services and the delivery and management of those services.
MSConf23 is a two day conference. We provide the content, venue, food and refreshments - and you can decide where you want to stay in Manchester. The Union at Manchester Metropolitan University are once again our excellent hosts.
Co-delivered by NUS, Wonkhe, Counterculture, native and the Union at Manchester Met, the event is particularly welcoming to new staff in the movement. We encourage you to take a deep dive into your own discipline as well as learn about other roles.
Our sessions come from peers in SUs, sector colleagues as well as specialists beyond the world of SUs. The conference has a focus on skills and knowledge sharing, networking and training, with a keen eye on solving the problems of the future.
We are really excited that this event is back, and to see what amazing sessions come forward from SUs. We look forward to meeting friends, old and new, from across the sector.

Tuesday night at The Salutation:
As is tradition, the night before Conference, some of the organisers will be in the Salutation Pub from around 19:30. If that’s your kind of thing, pop along and say hi.
Thursday morning run:
To get day two going, Mike, Joel and Becky from The Union have volunteered to host an early morning run through Manchester.
The run will start at 07:00 outside The Union and is designed to be a social run with no set pace decided. Options for different routes may also be available on the day, dependant on attendance.
Please bring appropriate clothing and a towel if you'd like to shower after the run. Showers are available at the Sports Centre on campus, or feel free to go back to your hotel, too.
